Happy to sew again!
Posted by Lena Kantis
It´s a little bit funny, I feel I am back to sew garments that I used to wear some years ago! Well if I would have kept some of my garments from the beginning of the 90´s I guess they could be worn again. However, I did not keep them so here I am back to sew new one´s. In fabrics that are more trendy ( at least I think they are!).
Carina was wearing a wonderful green tunic, and she let me borrow it to draw a pattern.
As you can see it is two square pieces. Front and back is the same, only difference is the shape of the neckline. A little lower cut of the front piece. The front piece is cut on the fold, and the back piece has got a seam running down the center line. Sleeves are also cut in two square pieces.
I did sew most of the construction on the
overlock. I used the 4-thread stitch.
Here are some pictures of the finished garment. I like it!
I have "sew" many more sewing projects going on and will share more with you next time!
Happy sewing!
