Imagine That!


Hopes, dreams and fantasies became a reality in this Husqvarna Viking quilt contest. If you can "see" it in your mind, then you can translate it to fabric and a quilt. Simply use your own creative imagination - this fascinating process inspired quiltmakers all over the world to create their own masterpiece for the Husqvarna Viking worldwide competition!

Techniques like - piecing, appliqué, embroidery, manipulated fabric, etc - were used and accomplished predominantly by use of a home sewing machine.

Art Takes Shape

The contest of 2005 received 150 entries from 16 countries around the world. The 50 finalist quilts will travel to venues on several continents.

Color, Couleur, Colore, Kulör
The 2004 Husqvarna Viking annual contest--Color, Couleur, Colore, Kulör-- features color in all its beloved and exciting hues, and the visual drama of the finalists' quilts is both rich and inspiring.
More than 161 quilts were entered in the 2004 contest from 19 countries around the world. The 50 finalist quilts will travel to venues on several continents, carrying with them the message that magnificent art can be created with stitches and thread on the sewing machine much like paint on canvas or a chisel and a block of marble.
