Baby quilts

Aside from bridal quilts, baby quilts are the first to come to mind when talking about quilts. Celebrating a new arrival with a lovely quilt for the tiny newcomer is an old tradition in many countries.
Baby quilts don’t take as much fabric, so they are easier to make. There are many examples of baby quilts that have been handed down from generation to generation.
They often have their own patterns, but can also be sewn in the traditional designs. It is also common to embroider the baby’s name and birth date on the quilt.
