Husqvarna Viking introduces a new generation of computerised sewing and embroidery machines when launching the Husqvarna Viking Designer SE

The machine is developed and manufactured by craftsmen and engineers in Sweden and is the culmination of years of research.

The Husqvarna Viking Designer SE is the first sewing machine with a full VGA screen featuring over 65,500 colors. The very large and fully interactive 3D colour touch screen is easy to navigate.

The Swedish company has paid attention to the wishes and dreams of today’s sewers in what they long for in a sewing machine. The results are a whole host of new and traditional, in many cases, exclusive features that forever change the perception of sewing and embroidery.

–It has never been quicker and easier to sew than with our new Designer SE, it is technically astounding and yet at the same time truly intuitive, says Susanne Hultin, Business Area Manager of Husqvarna Viking.

The new Husqvarna Viking Designer SE ushers in a new generation of computerised sewing and embroidery machines heralded by the fully interactive 3D touch screen, brilliant colours and the ability to change the lighting to suit your fabric or sewing environment.

The sewers will benefi t from the completely new feature, the exclusive E! Light™. Rows of long-lasting, light emitting diodes, can be adjusted from cool to warm colouring for the optimum visibility without any shadows, regardless of your fabric colour or design.

The vast number of embroidery designs that are included could be stored on the 32-Megabyte, USB Embroidery Stick that comes with the machine. The USB Embroidery Stick holds up to approximately 12.8 million stitches. Two USB Ports let the users transfer all multi-format embroidery designs directly to and from their PC, optional fl oppy disc drive or optional CD drive.

Furthermore, there are features like the Exclusive Sensor System, the Sewing Advisor ® and the world’s fi rst Embroidery Advisor™. The machine will always have the latest technology, as it is possible to upgrade via the Internet.
