Baby Blanket

Posted by Lena Kantis
Kristina is happy sewing a little present for a new baby boy Helmer. It is wonderful to be able to make a very personal gift.

The fabric for the baby quilt is one layer of fleece and the second layer is a printed jersey.
The size of the blanket is approximately one meter in a square. (One yard by one yard). Put the two layers wrong sides together. Sew parallell lines of stithes 10 cm ( 4 inches) apart all the way from the top to the bottom. Kristina used the serpentine stitch E1.5. You can see the stitch on the picture above the embroidery design.

The embroidery design is from the Husqvarna Viking Design Collection # 135  , Mega Party Borders.

The printed jersey fabric was a bit larger so it was a easy to fold it to the front and top stitch around it.

As this was a super quick project, Maria made one too for one of her friends!

Happy Sewing!
