My beautiful bird!

Posted by Lena Kantis

Here is my one-of-a kind dress, my own "black board". It is full of text of things I love and words that does describe my personality. I will now add the text: Milwaukee 2014. Memory for life. The bird was created in our Husqvarna Viking 6D Embroidery software, using the module Design Creator. Here is a the free download: Bird.

I did use a one dress that I like a lot for the Husqvarna Viking Convention party, I made it for a convention a couple of years ago. Now I have changed it slightly, added straps, as I find it more convenient. I did use the new Multi line Decorative presser foot.

That was very easy as there are so many lines to use. I could follow the lines on both sides and had a good overview of how I did sew. Perfect! Find it in our online accessory catalogue.

I am still suffering a little of jet lag, so last night to keep me awake I started to plan for next sewing project, a top. I did copy the pattern yesterday, so now I can go home today and cut the pieces in the fabrics I have selected, and sew during the weekend. Very good! I did not see at the beginning that the top had two different sleeves, I will have to translate the instruction this time, from German to English or Swedish as I need some of the information before deciding how to sew it. I normally sew without looking at the instructions.

Have a nice weekend all my sewing friends!
Until next time, happy sewing!
