Joy of sewing- joy of giving!

Posted by Lena Kantis

I have been sewing on the Holiday letters this last week. It was fun, I used a lot of small scraps in different kinds of fabrics, such as quilting fabrics, wool, felt, metallics and so on. I think the colors was the most important for my creation. On top of the quilting, I added decorative stitches, using a 30weight embroidery thread in red.
It is amazing how many beautiful stitches there are to choose from. If you are not sure which to pick, use a small scrap to try on first.

I think it did turn out very nice. I only have to finish the other two letters. I plan to hang them in my living room, maybe on by my fireplace.

Carina is sewing a sweater for little Morris (a small dog) using the embroidery from #95 Special techniques Christmas. The reindeer, he will look adorable in it. Hope we can get a picture when he is wearing it later.

Karin did sew a pillowcase for her husband. She does embroider one each year. Adorable and quite a quick gift as well.

Kerstin did sew a night gown for her grand daughter Isabell, and made a night gown for Isabell´s little doll too. They will too look cute, don´t you think?

I wish you all a wonderful Holiday, relax and take time to do the things you love!
