Colorful Dimensional quilt

In the latest video, we are sharing the size of the HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER EPIC™ sewing and embroidery machine. Size of the C, it is the largest we have ever had on the sewing machine 310mm from the needle to the tower. You will be able to sew large quilts. Another great feature, is the viewing angles, you have a bigger height on the work area as well, and the possibility to see better with the fantastic LED light.
As I told you last week, we are in a process of writing a lot of instructions for the sewing projects. If you for instance love the quilt we have featured in the new HUSQVARNA VIKING® DESIGNER EPIC™ sewing and embroidery machine, you will be able to sew your own quilt by following our tips and instructions in October. Watch the video “Sew as big as you dream”.
Meanwhile I can share some more pictures with you. Here is the quilt in the production process. The quilt is made in nice quilt fabrics in vibrant colors. It is cut into a lot of triangles, then pieced together using the Husqvarna Viking® Quilter´s ¼” Piecing Foot.
I thought you might like to see some pictures when the quilt was created.

Here you can see some of the strips on the table. The triangles were sewn together row by row.

On  the floor, to line up before sewing the rows together.

In the middle we have quilted it with Free- motion as well as echo quilting on the Designer Epic. Thanks to the extra-large C (310mm area) it was easy to work on the very large quilt. Here we are stitching in the ditch.

Here you can see the Dimensional stitch L19, in production. The row of stitches was added on the quilt for an extra nice touch.

When Kerstin did retire before the summer vacation we made a very special decorated roller bag for her. In Sweden those are used for elderly people to bring the food home from the super market. A lot of the elderly people choose to live in areas near stores and they walk between their homes and the super market.
On the front there is a tag saying: - If I get lost, My name is Kerstin, I live in Rynkeby and my phone number is etc. Kerstin does love the color pink in all shades. We all miss her a lot.

Happy Sewing!
