Pintucks! - Lets explore pintucks!

Posted by Bree Frost
What are pintucks you may ask? Pintucks are simply a small tuck, fold or pleat in fabric, most commonly sewn on place. Small tucks are commonly sewn in parallel rows and used to decorate clothing or household items. When the tucks are very narrow, they are referred to as pintucks.

Pintucks are made in several ways but the easiest and most accurate is by using your Husqvarna VIking Pintuck Feet! You have several ways but the easiest and most accurate is by using your Husqvarna Viking Feet! You have several different options when using the pintuck feet, which will depend on the type of fabric and size of pintuck you are after. The feet have grooves that run parallel on the base of the foot, which guide you for accuracy. By combing the foot with a twin needle, tucks are formed by the twin needle sewing as fabric tunnels into groove on the underside of the fabric. Place the tuck in the outside groove of foot to guide your next tuck.
