Lampshade

Update an old lampshade with a new cover made in cotton attached with velcro. The decorative bands are cut with pinking shears and stitched with straight stitch in all directions over the shade.

Sewing Supplies

  • Cotton fabric, enough to cover selected lampshade Sewing thread in matching color Velcro (in the same length as the height of the lampshade). Fusible interfacing Trim or plastic coated fabric Pinking Shears
  • To make a pattern of a lampshade that you wish to cover, fold pattern paper around it and secure with tape. Trace a pattern.
