Have you ever admired the work of a free motion artist? All of us yearn to be artists, but some are more artistic than others. These “Sketched” designs were created in the 4D Sketch program and mimic free motion stitching. Embellished with felted roving, the raw edge appliquéd cardinals and robins will appeal to the naturalist in you! These embroideries are easy to do and will make everyone, an experienced free motion artist, via their embroidery machine! The cardinals in the forest are a multi part project. The background is felted first. Then the tree background is stitched. Depending on the size or your embroidery area, it will be one stitch out or two. Then, the cardinals are added. They are raw edge appliqué, using fabric you felt for the bodies. The last pine branches are added after you stitch the borders in place. The quick project, the cardinal on the journal wrap is a lovely gift for any bird lover in your life!
